Some girls spend their entire lives dreaming of their wedding day…I’ve spent mine dreaming of adventure.

The biggest adventure of my life is finally upon me…as of 2016, I will be living and working abroad in Asia. As many of my readers will know, this isn’t the first time I’ve lived outside of the country, but this journey marks the first time I’ll be heading to a country with a non-Romance language…it’s frightening and invigorating all at the same time. But I do love a challenge, and this is a challenge I’m more than prepared to take on. This is the moment I’ve been dreaming of.

I’ll certainly be spending the majority of my time working; however, in my downtime, my goal is to satisfy my wanderlust with weekend and holiday adventures throughout Asia. This blog is to serve as my “Dear Diary” for the time that I will be living and exploring abroad–a memoir, if you will–documenting my life abroad for posterity’s sake. As much as I wish it were otherwise, I can’t share this phenomenal experience firsthand with my friends and family. Thus, I’m also utilizing this blog to give those interested a glimpse into the life I’ll be leading while I’m no longer constrained by the borders of the good, old US of A. Readers can expect:

  • plenty of random commentary about my experiences
  • a ridiculous amount of pictures
  • themed posts–specifically regarding, but not limited to: food/drink, music, art, culture, and the like
  • personal reflections for those introspective moments

Realistically, I’ll be posting once a week, most likely on Sunday evenings (that’s Sunday morning PST, in case you were curious). I will, however, do my very best to post more often than that, if only to satisfy curious minds. I hope you enjoy visiting my blog as much as I know I’m going to love sharing my experiences with you!
