Lunched today with some lovely ladies after our housing orientation, and stopped in a small outdoor restaurant to enjoy drinks and a meal together. The restaurant had a nice environment: fuzzy seat covers for the metal chairs, large umbrellas to protect from any potential weather, and heaters built into the umbrellas to keep us warm.
In all honesty, this was the BEST mojito I have ever had. Sweetened with brown sugar, it was just sweet enough while still being cool and refreshing.
El sandwich especial was mighty tasty as well! It was similar to a chicken salad sandwich, though prepared differently (no celery and seasoned differently) and served toasted. Couldn’t have asked for a better tasting first venture into Madrid!
